CHRONIC DISEASE HEALTH ALLIANCE
DID YOU KNOW…
Currently, one in five Pittsburgh residents is food insecure. This means that over 60,000 people in the Pittsburgh Community are struggling to find healthy, culturally appropriate food.
Additionally, six in ten Americans live with at least one chronic disease. That number is higher in low-income and food-insecure communities. Many chronic diseases are preventable with proper nutritional and lifestyle choices.
OUR MISSION
The CDHA’s mission is to provide Chronic Disease Education and Healthy Meals to those in need within the Pittsburgh Community. These services will be 100% free for those who qualify.
OUR VISION
We strive to bridge the gap in healthcare by providing low-income and food-insecure communities in Allegheny County with access to quality nutrition resources and education for the prevention, management, and reversal of chronic disease.
